A little Louisiana moment—an iris in full bloom with a dragonfly drifting through the garden air. Painted loosely on a dark ground so the color and sparkle could really show up. These small studies are where I get to experiment and follow the fun of the scene, letting the brushstrokes stay playful and alive.
