WHY THE GATOR?

When I was climbing my way out of commissioned pet portraits and trying to find my voice as an artist, I painted a series of alligators. I didn’t know it then, but they would become the bridge between where I was and where I wanted to go. To me, the gator is a symbol of strength, survival, and facing your fears head-on — and these pieces were exactly that for me.

The first one I painted, Betha, came straight from the gut — raw, emotional, and deeply personal. That gator caught the attention of Outback Steakhouse, and before long, my artwork was featured in over 200 of their restaurants across the U.S. Some locations even chose Betha herself!

This collection means the world to me, not just for what it represents in my journey — but for how it might speak to yours too.
